Founded in 2002 by Robert and Phoebes Garland.  Garland & Garland Fashion are a leading strategic fashion & lifestyle brand management consulting agency based in Sydney, Australia.

Robert Garland was described by Ragtrader magazine, as a “veteran rag trader” with a stellar career of over 40 years experience in the fashion industry in all senior facets of the Australian fashion industry. Robert is highly respected and liked by his peers for his solid fashion industry experience.

With his calm nature and solid experience in the Australian fashion industry, people take notice of his advice when Robert speaks.

Robert has also paved the way for his two daughters who have gone on to forge successful careers in their own right in the Australian fashion industry, both Melanie Flintoft, founder of Australian Fashion Labels, a global multi-brand fashion business with a multi-million dollar turnover that encompasses (Cameo, Finders Keepers, Jaggar, TY-LR, Fifth Label, Keepsake + fashionbunker.com) and now Sunset Lover.

With other daughter Rebecca Hoffman, founder of The Birdcage Boutique, who both reside in Adelaide.

Phoebes Garland has had a diverse career in sales in fashion, publishing, and advertising for over 30 years.  Described as a “power agent” by Assia Benmedjdoub, Publisher of Ragtrader magazine. With a background in publishing and advertising, Phoebes has grown sales sections by 500% + in her career in both the fashion and publishing industries. 

For over 11 years, Phoebes was invited as a regular Features Writer Exposed Online,  a publication of Fashion Exposed which is distributed to 60,000 + subscribers in the fashion industry.

A strong passion for the fashion industry, Phoebes is also involved in all different aspects of the fashion industry, as a fashion writer, commentator, consultant, mentor, and is on the advisory board for Fashion Design Studio (Sydney TAFE) which showcases at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia and is a member of IFFTI (International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes). Past graduates include Dion Lee, Akira Isogawa, Alex Perry, amongst many others.

An avid passionate supporter of not-for-profits, Phoebes is an ambassador for not for profit charities, Shake it up Australia Foundation and Adopt Change, two causes that have impacted her personally. She is now also an Entrepreneur in Residence for future generations with the ASPIRE program which guides and mentors school children to develop their careers.

Garland & Garland were the only fashion agents to be invited to be the original mentors to designers with the industry body Australian Fashion Chamber now known as the Australian Fashion Council.

In 2017 they founded G x G Collective their own fashion jewellery lifestyle brand.
